Although I adore sarees, I don’t have a lot of them in my wardrobe. I have slightly grander ones that I love wearing to weddings, but lately I’ve been on the hunt for more classic, minimal ones that I can incoporate into my daily wardrobe.

I always prefer to shop for Sarees (or anything, for that matter) online & that is when I discovered Craftsvilla.com.

Craftsvilla is India’s largest marketplace for handmade & handcrafted items & it has a very large variety of ethnic clothing like sarees, salwar suits, anarkalis etc. & even ethnic jewellery to go with the clothes!

Just the kind of sarees I was looking for at very reasonable costs.Shopping for Sarees on Craftsvilla

They have a lot of subtle & beautiful sarees there, that I could easily go on a little shopping spree, but I thought I’d share my three favorites with you all.

I’m absolutely crushing over the combination of black or blue with cream or gold. My first pick (the most grand of the three) is the black & cream designer saree which is currently at around 80% discount! I think the black floral motif on the border is the perfect balance of edginess & femininity plus the mesh panelling on the blouse just adds to the beauty. I’d pair this with a killer pair of strappy black heels & sequinned clutch.

My second pick is a bit more low-key & everyday, this blue & beige saree with a subtle gold border. It’s understated & beautiful, perfect for any casual occasion with kohlapuri flat sandals.

My final pick, is the minimal blue saree with heavy border. This one keeps it simple & elegant with a dark blue drape & a gold border with a strip of red. Since I love colour coordinating, I’d pair this with gold flats & bright red lips! Which one of my three picks do you like best? Do share!

I love that I’ve found a new destination to shop for ethnic clothes. Have you checked out Craftsvilla yet? x
