A few days ago I was invited to the launch of Café Pico in Phoenix Market City, Kurla. They specialize in gourmet world food made with locally sourced ingredients. Here are a few photos of the yummy lunch we were treated to. {warning: these photos will make you hungry!}
White wine & mushroom soup.

French Charcuterie platter.

The colorful wall.

Desserts – mini cupcakes, chocolate mousse & basil crème brûlée.
Along with the cafe launch, they were also launching their facebook app, Club Pico. It’s a way to interact with other PICO fans in the city (they have seven outlets here, three as Cafe Pico & four as Pico Express). Through the app you can share photos you take in Pico, comment on photos etc. With every activity / interaction you get points, & those points can be redeemed for money at any Pico outlet.
Points are a great way to reward loyal patrons – I for one am very likely to keep going back to any store if I have a membership card. So I thought this was a fun spin on the whole thing, rather than give you yet another plastic card you can earn & manage points via an app. I tried it out & it seemed pretty smooth, I didn’t encounter any bugs.
They also conducted a fun game, wherein we had to taste a dish & guess the maximum number of ingredients. The dish in question turned out to be homemade ravioli – I guessed all of three ingredients! Despite my poor performance it was still fun. We were very well taken care off, through the afternoon. In the end, I felt like I needed a wheelbarrow to take me home after the meal, I was so full. Something else worth mentioning? They also have a kick-ass deli & bakery section. I can attest to the fact that their oatmeal & raisin cookies were crispy & delicious, & I have a jar of sweet chilli jam & a bottle of French vinagrette waiting for me when I come back from vacation.
I look forward to visiting other Pico outlets & continuing to use the app.
