I’m extremely picky with fragrances. I’ve tried a bunch – everything from drugstore to luxury brands but I hadn’t found a single one I liked! For starters, I really dislike overtly floral fragrances – most of them smell too sickly-sweet & they actually make me gag! And it’s for that very reason I wore men’s colognes for a while (still love Fahrenheit by Christian Dior).
I don’t like overtly complicated fragrances either, I’d much rather stick with a fragrance with just two or three notes. That is why, in the past few months I’ve stayed away from all of my fancier perfumes & started using natural Indian perfumes (you know the ones that come in small glass vials with a roll on?)
Though Kiehl’s is probably better known for their natural skincare, when the Aromatic Blends collection launched in India it was right up my alley.

I really like the bottle. Simple, with the words written on glass, very vintage classy. And the fragrance? I absolutely love it. If there was a word stronger than love, I would use it here. I’m not very good at describing scents – There’s a strong scent of vanilla, but it’s not very sweet. And then of course there’s the cedarwood – woodsy & just a tad spicy, strong but not overpowering.
Obviously scents can’t be swatched & everyone has a difference preference, so if you’re interested in trying this I’d suggest you drop in at your nearest Kiehl’s store, the staff is friendly + helpful!

This is the scent for me, my new signature scent! I really hope Kiehl’s never discontinues this, I want to keep buying it till I’m 80! I’m planning to buy the Aromatic Blends coffret set so I can try the other three as well.
