When it comes to skincare, I can be very lazy. I don’t take my routine as seriously as I should, however I like to keep it simple & stick to the few products that work for me. Today I’m going to be talking about a new natural & affordable face scrub that I’ve tested throughout this month, the Himalaya Herbals Purfying Neem Scrub.

I discovered long ago that a product’s price isn’t necessarily related to it’s efficacy. I’ve tried luxury skincare items that do absolutely nothing for me, & budget products that just work well. My love for Himalaya Herbals is no secret, last year I reviewed the Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack & proclaimed that it was the best face pack I’ve ever used & worked wonders on my acne prone, sensitive skin.

Lately I’ve added the Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub to my skincare routine. This scrub promises to removes the dead cells, black and white heads from our skin. The face scrub is made of Neem and Apricot and the two ingredients work together as great exfoliator and purifier. The apricot granules help in the removal of the dead skin cells. The purifying quality of neem, on the other hand, prevents acne and dark spots. The scrub also helps remove the excess oil from the skin which is the root cause of acne and black heads.

The scrub is very easy to use, it has a soft & creamy texture with exfoliating granules. Although they advise to use face wash first, if I am using this I skip face wash as it cleanses well & I don’t want to dry out my skin.

My previous favorite face scrub was apricot based too. But that was a deep exfoliant & the granules were definitely on the rougher side. While it worked well, I could only use it once a week, anything more might damage my skin. What impressed me a lot about the Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack is that it cleaned out my clogged pores & any impurities while still being very gentle. Perhaps it’s the reamy texture but my face never felt overtly dry after using it, just clean & fresh!

I use this twice or thrice a week, however if my skin is going through a bad period I’ve even used it daily – yes it’s that gentle! It’s available in two sizes so while I have the 100gms tube at home, the 50gms tube has become a permanent part of my travel kit!

This scrub works wonderfully on my combination-oily sensitive & acne prone skin (phew, that’s a mouthful!) & I’d definitely recommend it. Even if you have normal / dry skin but are experiences the bad effects of pollution like dullness, breakouts or acne, you should definitely try it. And here’s a cute little TVC featuring the scrub.
