I recently visited the Spaghetti Kitchen outlet in Inorbit Mall, Malad for their Tuscan Food Festival. Eating at a restaurant in a mall can sometimes sound tacky, but once you step in you pretty much forget that you’re in one. It’s very tastefully decorated too but since the restaurant was pretty crowded I couldn’t go around snapping photos of their wall adornments.

This was my first time at Spaghetti Kitchen & I didn’t really know what to expect. Despite it bring almost full the service was nice. Our waiter was very well informed about the different dishes too.

We started with an Olive Saltate, which is olives sautéed in virgin olive oil with chili, garlic & fresh herbs served with grilled tuscan bread.Next up, Crostini Fiorentini which is Florentine chicken liver paté served on grilled tuscan bread. After the appetizers it was onto the mains. We got the Pappardelle Sulla’nitra, handmade ribbon pasta in rich duck & orange bolognaise.

And we were so stuffed with the rest of the food we almost didn’t get dessert. But we had to try it no? The Schiacciata con l’uva is Etruscan grape-filled bread served with whipped cream. This is great for those of you that don’t like overtly sweet desserts. Also perfect for two people to share.
Spaghetti Kitchen takes pride in presenting authentic dishes not adaptations. I’m not as familiar with Italian cuisine as I’d like but I must say everything tasted delicious, it was fresh & flavorful without being too strong. This was the first meal in a while where I loved everything we ordered (if I have to nitpick, I found the ice tea rather bland but then the meal made up for it).
If this sounds like the kind of meal you’d like then make sure to head to an outlet soon because the festival ends on 22nd June.
