I feel like it’s been so long since I wrote a proper chatty post, I don’t even know where to start. This outfit was shot a little while ago & now it’s the start of December & I’m playing Christmas Carols. Huh.

I unashamedly jumped on the nineties trend bandwagon so hard this year. I’m sure childhood nostalgia had a very big part to play in it all. Mom always said trends were cyclical, & now that I’m old enough to actually see one circle back, it feels like an important personal fashion milestone of sorts.

2016 seems like a year where a lot of terrible shit happened. We lost David Bowie, Alan Rickman & so many greats. A loud, sentient cheeto in a wig was elected president of America. I still don’t know what to make of it all, not sure I ever will. But for me, personally I think it’s been pretty freakin’ amazing. I feel like I’ve achieved a lot of goals- professionally & personally. I better know myself as a person, & I’m not so hard and fast with limitations. In fact, I dove into unfamiliar waters so many times this year, that I’m a lot less scared of trying new things (on a related note: still can’t swim).

Sure, I didn’t manage to do a lot of things I hoped for. Even went backwards a few times. But I’ve realized that it ok – as long as I’m making progress & learning, I’m fine with it.

Every time I write a post here it feels like I say the same things – I’m sorry I haven’t been as regular as I’d like to be here. Writing on my blog is where it all started for me, & I do miss it a lot. But I’m also really enjoying YouTube – both creating & consuming videos. It feels a lot more real & personal than pictures & words in a post, but I will never stop blogging – I just need to find ways to manage my time better. I’d love to know what kind of posts you guys would like to see more of.

Oh also, if videos are your thing, I’m doing three videos every week in December! It’s the most I’ve ever commited to, but since it’s just one month, it should be easy enough to follow through. I’ve always wanted to do vlogmas, maybe next year. Until then I’ll enjoy watching my favorites.

I have a lot lined up this month that I’m excited to do. What’s your December looking like? x

  • I am loving the pictures in your Fashion articles. Curious to know if you use a professional photographer to shoot these? 🙂

    • Thank you! I very rarely shoot with pro photographers, & if so I always credit them prominently in the post! This is all having a good camera & a very patient mom 🙂

      • Haha, in that case, must say Mom is no less than a professional photographer! 🙂
