Mumbai locals trains are part of daily commuting ritual for thousands.
For me, school was walking distance but I had to take a train for four years to college.

These were from the first roll in the wide lens camera late last year. #4 of the Golden Rules of Lomography states ‘Try the shot from the hip‘ which basically states that you should try holding your camera at different angles, & not look through the viewfinder. I put that into practice for all of these (also the first two were shot from moving trains). You may not like every photo you get with this method (for example some of mine are blurred because I wasn’t supporting the camera) but it’s still oddly liberating. I wouldn’t have got the last photo if I hadn’t stuck my hand as high as I could.
