I spent early December in Goa, so I thought I’d show you what makeup I carried with me on vacation. Most days I wore no makeup at all, but if we were going out I liked usually put on some. Simple + light was my mantra, for day time it was just a little concealer, mineral foundation, brightly stained lips, little blush or bronzer, a natural looking mascara & fun colored kohl. Add a feline flick to it & I was ready for Sunday mass!

Here’s what I carried on vacation (clockwise from top left):
Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder – My first ever bronzer, this one is easy to carry around, smells nice & adds some warmth to my face.
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation – This mineral foundation is pretty quick to apply & good for warm weather because it doesn’t bleed as much if you sweat. It also has SPF 15, which might not be adequate but it makes me feel a little less guilty about skipping the sunscreen (something is better than nothing right?) I use a fluffy brush from Ecotools that was part of a set, although I have a new brush now that I’m dying to try it with.
Bourjois Little Pot Blush (#74 Rose Ambré) – Not only was this my first ever blush, it’s still the first blush I reach for when I want a natural pink flush.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Smitten (Pink), Romantic (Red) & Rendezvous (Orange) – These were the stars of my vacation, the absolute stars! Pretty, long lasting & overall easy-breezy. I reviewed Smitten back in March ’13 when they released (as you can see the tube lost all of the writing). I will have a full review of the other two shades next week.
Florelle True Kohl Pencil in Blue – Kohl pencils are a staple & I like the bright blue color of this one.
Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo – A regular felt tipped eyeliner.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Deep – This concealer is something of cult UK drugstore (or high street as they call it!) After seeing it mentioned on 176282 fashion blogs I ordered it off eBay. Despite being the darkest color, it’s still a little light for me. But it’s very easy to blend & set & it doesn’t budge.
Oriflame Hyper Stretch Mascara* – This Oriflame masacara comes in a very long tube. It has one of the best brushes/wands I’ve ever used, it separates my lashes so well. It makes them look longer but does nothing for volume, which makes it very appropriate
Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bad Bronze – I’m not very good with eyeshadow but this shadow in crayon form is so easy to use. Just swipe & blend!
When I was editing these photos days later I realized that I somehow forgot to include theBalm Mary Lou Manizer. I’m not sure how that happened, I don’t go anywhere without it!
What’s in your vacation makeup bag?
love,
Magali
