A few photos I took of hairstyling backstage at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016 with BedHead by TIGI.

TIGI is a brand that I identify with very strongly, so I was very excited to partner up with them again for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016. I was the Official Blogger for the second day & was given full backstage access.

When I’ve seen countless shows at LFW over the years, it was a different kind of thrill to see it all come together backstage & watch the TIGI experts work their magic.

Most of the photos above are from Gaurang & Wendell Rodricks. Staying true to their repute of being trendsetters, TIGI Bed Head created some fresh  hairstyles for models strutting the ramp.

Gaurang’s label personified elegance and captivated the beauty of traditional handloom weaves, the hairdos were elaborate, bold & still very classic & old world glam. Wendell Rodricks created a fusion of Indian costume icons and modernized them to suit the contemporary fashion world. The simple buns with shells in them of course took me back to my hometown of Goa (where Wendell also hails from).

Lakmé Fashion Week Day 2 affirmed that chic center parted buns, gorgeous braids and striking headgears are definitely the hair trends to be sporting this summer & I know I’ll be recreating the chic dos in my own style these coming months.
